This year's theme is LOL @ Your Library, and I've been thinking about my favourite funny books. Teen fiction has a bit of a reputation for being reather melodramatic, but there is a lot of really good, really funny stuff out there.Some of my favourites are:
- Susan Juby's trilogy, starting with Alice, I think.
- I just finished Mevlin Burgess's Doing It. So very, very funny
- Ella Enchanted by Gail Levine is surprisingly funny - and sooooo much better than the movie.
- Catherine, Called Birdy has long been one of my favourites. Such delicious, medieval sarcasm.
